Brooks and Dunn have been honored as Vocal Duo of the Year for 9 out of the past 11 years. They should have received it every year if you ask our family. They were even named Entertainer of the Year by the CMA in 1996.
We (Dave and Chris) recently saw them in concert in Atlantic City, NJ, for our anniversary; and they were incredible! So much so that the whole family is going to the Neon Circus at the Bryce Jordan Center to see them again. It is scary, because I can feel an addiction coming on!
We were able to balloon them with 4 foot tall balloonicatures that David and Kayla made for them. We were very nervous about transporting the balloons the whole way from Hanover to Atlantic City, but all went well with the exception that we had to replace Ronnie's pants; they sprang a leak.
We had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Dunn before the concert for a photo and an autograph. He was incredibly sweet when this tongue-tied fan could hardly speak. I couldn't even get the camera cover open, because my hands were shaking so badly. You can see some photos of the balloons and the concert farther down the page. Thank you, Ronnie, for making our anniversary so memorable! I'm really not as inarticulate as I must have seemed. :-)

Another Happy Picture!
How blessed can one person be! Imagine getting to meet both of these charming men at the Bryce Jordan Center thanks to a secret friend. And guess what, even though I was determined not to be, I was struck dumb again! I wonder if I will ever be able to utter an intelligent word in the presence of these men. Well, maybe someday! or maybe not! Now I just need that last Happy Picture!
Here are some pictures of the balloon birthday cake that Kayla made for Kix.

Here is a picture of the motorcycle balloon with Chester Cheetah that Kayla made for Ronnie's Birthday. The delivery was so hurried by security that we were unable to get a picture of Ronnie with it, but at least we have this one. We apologize for the poor timing of the delivery, Ronnie.

Speaking of birthdays, check out the birthday cake my husband got for me. Too bad I couldn't eat any of it other than the very edges! lol
