Introducing the Wiles Family Pets
Hello! We are the Wiles family pets. Our family includes Mummum, Daddad, the boy, and the girl, and us: Tilly, Brandy, Slinky, Napoleon, Sebastian, Callie, Precious, Dandelion, Weeker, and Winniepig. Noel used to be in our family, but he has gone to puppy heaven. We miss him terribly. We are all very special. At least that is what Mummum says. She always tells us how much she loves us! Mummum says we may be getting a new member of the family. I wonder who it will be?
Introducing Tilly
Hi! My name is Chantilly or Tilly for short. I am a golden retriever/collie mix. I have lived with Mummum and Daddad since I was eight weeks old. I belong to Daddad. I am the official food bowl guarder in our house. I decide when the other puppies may eat. I love to go bye-bye. Once I went bye-bye without my family, and I got lost; but I wasn't scared. I had to hitch a ride home with the postman. Mummum was worried sick; but I don't know why, I am a big girl. I also like to chase squirrels. I even caught one once and taught it a lesson. No squirrels come in our yard anymore! My favorite thing to do is go bike riding with Mummum. I run along side her bike. Sometimes we go far, and I get real tired; but Mummum watches out for me. She makes sure we don't go too far. She loves me!
Update From Tilly
Wow! I am so excited! I was crowned Miss American Puppy by Mummum and Daddad when I won first place in Petco's Grand Opening Pet Costume Contest in March. Don't I look wonderfully cute in my dragon suit? You can see some more pictures of me in my costume on page 4 of Balloony Inspirations's Balloon Gallery. Maybe I will be rich and famous soon! Then I can have squirrel pie for supper every night!
Introducing Brandy
Hi! I'm Brandy. I am a shetland sheepdog. I came to live with Mummum and Daddad when I was seven months old. My old owners had too many dogs. There were five other dogs in the house. I barely got enough to eat. I had to fight a rottweiler just to get a morsel. I got very quick at sneaking food. Now in my new house, I am the table troll. I hide under the table at supper time just waiting for a morsel to fall. Then I dash out and eat it up. At my old house I barked too much, so they decided I should be the one to leave. I was sad, but now I am so happy. My new family really loves me. I belong to the boy. That is what I call him, but his real name is David. I get to be the official door guard. I lay tight up against the door to make sure no intruders come. If any do, I start to bark real loud so Mummum and Daddad will know. I try hard to protect my family, but once I got confused. I heard a noise, and I thought it was an intruder. I started to bark, and Mummum got scared. She called the police, and they came right away. It turned out that it was only Daddad trying to sneak a surprise in the house for Mummum's anniversary. Boy! Did I mess up! I felt stupid; but Mummum said that it was okay and that she still loved me.
Introducing Slinky
Hi! My name is Slinky, but my girl calls me Slinkydink. I am a daschund. I am so thankful to be living with my new family. I used to live in a kennel outside. Boy! It was really cold for a dog like me with not much fur. It was so cold that I would cuddle up next to the heat lamp. I got too close too many times, and now my ears are scarred. I am glad my family loves me anyway. I lived with 17 Akitas in the kennel. That was no fun. I was three years old when I came to my new home. I don't really have an official job or title in my new home. I am just the resident snuggler. I will snuggle up to anyone who will let me. I sleep with my girl in her bed at night. I cuddle up tight against her under the covers with only my nose showing. It is toasty warm. I love it. I only hate it when it is time to go out and go potty. They just make me wake up and go out even if I don't have to go. I really wish they would just let me sleep, but it is a small price to pay to have such a nice home. I just love to go bye-bye. We sometimes go bike riding. I run along side girl's bike for just a few yards, and then I get to ride in a cart with Poly behind Daddad's bike. It is great fun! The first time I rode in the cart, I was so scared. I actually chewed a hole in the cart's canopy; but now I am a big boy, and I am not scared anymore. I love to feel the wind blowing through my ears. I am getting excited just thinking about it. I can't wait until we go again. Mummum says I am a good boy, but sometimes I get into trouble with Napoleon. Maybe he will tell you about some of our fun times!
Introducing Napoleon
Hi! I'm Napoleon or Poly for short. I'm Mummum's baby beagle. I am not exactly a baby anymore, but I still act like one. I always seem to be getting into trouble even though I am not looking for any. I really like to chew things. Anything! It doesn't matter. Boy! Do I get into trouble!
I like to go bye-bye. We sometimes go bike riding with Mummum and Daddad. I am chubby, and I just can't keep up like Tilly does. So I get to ride in the cart with Slinky. His legs are too short to run very far. We have great fun. Slinky and I are best buddies. We play together all the time. We get into trouble together too. One time we opened up Mummum's snack cupboard. We found such wonderful treats. We had muffin mix and noodles and frosting mix. It all tasted so good, but Mummum scolded us and sent us outside. She was mad. I don't like it when Mummum is mad at me. Another time Slinky coaxed me into getting into the cupboard again. We found cake mix and ready-made frosting that time. We decided to have a birthday party even though it wasn't anyone's birthday. We ate the whole thing. It made my belly hurt, and I couldn't rest. Mummum said that we were on a sugar high. I don't ever want to be on one of those again. I shouldn't have listened to Slinky. Now Mummum put a funny looking thing on the cupboard to keep us out. I guess I'll have to look for snacks somewhere else. Maybe I'll find some in the kitty box!

Remembering Noel
Hello! Mummum here. I am going to tell you about my angel puppy, Noel. Noel came to live with us when he was about six months old. We found him abandoned on the street on a rainy Christmas Eve Day. That is how he got his name. We tried to locate his owners to no avail. No one would come forward. We found out why a few weeks later. Noel started to seizure. It was determined that he suffered from a very bad case of epilepsy. Over time he had to take two different medicines twice a day. One was a pill that we hid in cheese, and the other was a very bitter tasting liquid. He hated it until we started to put it in milk. Noel loved his "milky". He would come running when it was time for that. Other times, when he was having an especially bad day, we would have to give him Valium. He would sometimes seizure seven or eight times a day. He had over 500 seizures in the three years that we had him. It was very hard to deal with all those seizures, but we all loved Noel very much. We did everything we could to take care of him. One night, after a very bad day, he started to seizure again. He seizured for over an hour and a half; he just wouldn't stop. We called the vet and took him in. The vet told us that if he did come out of the seizure, he would surely be brain damaged. It was such a hard thing to do, but we didn't want him to suffer anymore. We had him put to sleep. I cried for weeks. He required so much care that it really left a void in my life. I loved him so very much. He brought so much joy to our lives. I still miss him, but with Napoleon around I don't have much time to miss him. Poly keeps me so busy. Oh! One other thing. The cart that Poly and Slinky ride in was originally bought for Noel. With all the medication he was on, he was very fat. The only way he could go with us bike riding was in the cart. David and Kayla used to say that he was Pharaoh Fatso in his chariot. He really loved riding in his cart,
and we will always remember him.

Introducing Sebastian
Hi! Sebastian writing. I am the top feline in the family. I am a gray himalayan. I used to live with Mummum's aunt, but she had so many cats that I was always picking a fight. My favorite thing to do is bug Mummum when she is sleeping. Sometimes she sleeps too long, and I want my food. I start by gently licking her face. If that doesn't work, then I will quietly meow in her ear just enough to wake her up. If she still won't get up, then I resort to batting her in the face. That usually works! But once in awhile, I have to bat her and meow loudly. That always works! I don't know who she thinks she is making me wait for my food. After all, I am the king.

**Mummum doesn't allow me to go beyond this next link. I don't recommend that you do either!
Introducing Callie
Hello! My name is Callie, but my new Mummum lovingly calls me Pudge. I came from Mummum's aunt too. I don't know why, but she didn't like me very much. She said I was a snob. I'm not really. I love to curl up in Mummum's lap. The only problem is I take up Mummum's whole lap; because I'm chubby, you know! I only hope she doesn't put me on a diet!

Introducing Precious
Hi! I am Precious, and precious I am. I am a flame point himalayan. That makes me extra special. I used to live with Mummum's aunt too. Sebastian and I used to fight there, but we don't fight here. Go figure! I don't know why, but I seem to be the cat that annoys everybody the most. I am only looking for a nice comfortable place to sleep, but I always seem to knock something of the boy or girl's down. Then they get hopping mad and banish me from their rooms. It sure is hard to find a good sleeping place around here. I sometimes sneak into the bathroon cupboard when the family leaves it open. It has wonderfully soft towels to sleep on. The only problem is I sometimes get locked in. Then I have to stand in there and meow my head off waiting for someone to let me out! What a headache! You would think they would know better and just leave the cupboard open. Oh, yeah! Sebastian thinks he is the king,
but I'll always be the "precious" one!
Introducing Dandelion
Hello! My name is Dandelion. I am better known as "Scab Cat", because of my skin condition. My skin flakes very badly. It is almost like a very bad case of dandruff. Mummum hasn't even taken a picture of me for the net. She keeps hoping my condition will improve. I am a yellow tabby. I was the girl's mascot for her softball team when she played. The team was called the Hanover Lions. That is how I got my name. I love to sneak outside when no one is looking. Once when I snuck out I met a boyfriend. Later I had a kitten. Now Mummum and Daddad are always watching me so I can't sneak out anymore. I'll bet one of these days I'll get out again though! The boy and girl don't watch me as closely. HeeHee!
Introducing Weeker and Winniepig
Hi, everybody! Weeker and Winniepig here! We are abyssinian guinea pigs. We live in a big aquarium in the basement. We love to go outside in the yard to eat grass. The girl and boy stay with us to keep us safe from any neighborhood cats. We are glad; we just wouldn't be able to enjoy ourselves if they didn't. We hope to have a little family of our own someday, but no luck yet. We hope that it won't be too long though. Mummum is going to get a picture of us someday soon so we can have our picture on the net too. We can't wait. That way, you can admire how beautiful we are!
Urgent Update From Mummum!
Population Explosion in the Guinea Pig Family
And Saying Goodbye to a Good Friend
I am sad to report that our beloved Weeker went to guinea pig heaven. We miss him dearly. Winnie Pig had been dreadfully lonely so we adopted two new cage mates for her named Cookie and Nutter Butter. Cookie had a litter of four fine young guinea pigs on March 24, 2001. Mother and babies are doing wonderfully! The babies are currently named Sugar, Nilla, Chips, and Oaty (at least until they are adopted by new owners). We have also recently adopted a pair of teddy bear guinea pigs names Wicket and Nippet. They belong to David who, you know if you have checked our family page, is a Star Wars fan. They are named after ewoks. They even look like little ewoks. Their family has not grown at this present time. Kayla has adopted a pair of guinea pigs also. Hers are smoothies. They are named Whachamacallit and Snickers. And guess what! They are the proud parents of Cadbury, Special Dark, Caramello, and Goober! They were born on March 29, 2001. Again, mother and babies are just fine. Well, that is it for our little update. Again, we hope to include pictures shortly. The pictures we did take of our new arrivals have turned out blurry. We will have to try again. But hopefully soon, you will be able to see that their sweetness matches their names!
Hoping For Spunky!
Hello! Mummum here again! Well, how did you like our little family? Guess what? We aren't done yet. We are still hoping to round out our family with one more non-human member, and that will be Spunky. We hope to get an infant white-faced Capuchin monkey someday in the, hopefully, not too far away future. David and Kayla are saving toward purchasing one, but they are also saving for college. What a choice! They would like to start a "Save Spunky" fund in conjunction with their business, but they are scared of all the legal ramifications. So for now, we'll just have to keep saving. Hopefully Spunky will come home soon to round out our family!
